Dropbox is a file storage and syncing service. It allows you to have access to all the files in your Dropbox, no matter what device you are using.

Sparrow is truly one of the best email clients for the Mac. It has a very simple inbox with excellent support for GMail labels, as well as dropbox support for attachments. The interface is top notch, even rivaling Apple's own Mail app. Unfortunately, Sparrow is no longer developed except for minor bug updates. Despite that, it's still a great choice.

Pages is both a streamlined word processor and an easy-to-use page layout application from Apple. It has a strong set of features, as well as compatibility with Microsoft Office documents. Pages is also iCloud compatible, so your documents will stay in sync across your Mac(s) and iOS devices. You can even edit your documents on the go with Pages for iOS, and on iCloud at iCloud.com.
Adapter is an easy to use video and audio converter for the Mac. With it you can quickly convert your files to other formats for playback on a mobile device, or anything else. Adapter also has the ability to download and convert YouTube videos to MP3's.
VLC is a free multimedia player that can play nearly everything you throw at it. The latest update adds a great user interface, along with support for Bluray playback, making it one of very few applications on the Mac that support Bluray. VLC is required to be installed in order to import DVD's with Handbrake (also mentioned above).
Final Cut Pro X is a professional video editing program. It is a great choice for professionals who need quick editing on the go. Features like the magnetic timeline make editing a breeze.
